This one-hour presentation will introduce the learner to the topic of Misophonia. The webinar will cover the basics of Misophonia, including a proposed definition, consideration for inclusion of the diagnosis as a distinct mental disorder, and treatment foundations. The presenter will also distinguish between Misophonia and other mental disorders. This presentation will be a pre-recorded webinar with a live 15 minute question and answer session.

Objective 1:
Define Misophonia. This includes listing the symptoms that characterize the disorder, as well as reasons for considering the symptoms to make up a unique cluster or disorder.
Objective 2:
Differentiate between Misophonia and other mental disorders. This includes the use of diagnostic interviews and standardized assessment measures.
Objective 3:
Describe the relevance of at least two cognitive behavioral theories to the treatment of Misophonia. Also demonstrate knowledge of treatments that are not indicated.
